"Autism Every Day" is a powerful 13 minute long video that shows how poignantly ones life is effected by having an autistic child. The film was screened at an Autism Speaks fundraiser held in NY City and then re-aired on MSNBC's The Imus Show earlier this month.

Moving From Elementary to Middle School: Supporting a Smooth Transition for Students With Severe Disabilities  by Erik W. Carter. Nitasha M. Clark. Lisa S. Cushing. Craig H. Kennedy, Jan/Feb issue of "Teaching Exceptional Children". This is recommended as a very, very good piece, and has some specific suggestions and timely information for anyone with a child with autism near this important transition.  Good to read and file away for future reference even if your child is younger. 

The New York Times has been running an excellent series on autism. This is a good place to send people who are trying to understand autism.
