Our Chapter's History

The Capital Region ASA began as a group of parents who wanted the best for their children and who needed support and assistance. We have grown into a regional resource of parents and professionals with life experience, expertise and passion. We provide caring, compassionate support to families and the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) community. This support is provided through educational programs, support groups, and individual interactions. Through successful fundraising events such as an annual gala, walk, and conference, we have been able to support these programs as well as provide financial donations for research.

The community with autism is an integral, important piece of our society. We help the general population accept and embrace individuals with autism.
