In February 13-year-old Jonathan Carey tragically died while in a residential care facility. Jonathan's parents had been fighting for years to obtain his records when the tragedy occurred. Their brave campaign to make important records available to parents is now successful! As Michael Carey told A-CHAMP tonight in an email, "this is going to be a tremendous starting place for incredible reform."

Thank you Lisa and Michael Carey for acting so courageously in loving memory of your beloved Jonathan! All families in New York are beneficiaries of your heroic efforts.
